Andrew and Wesley were fantastic. They explained everything they did and how things looked. They found some issues and corrected them. Most importantly, they were very respectful and polite and didn't treat me like a "stupid woman "
Wesley is an impressive professional. He is thorough while working. Whilst working he provides unbothered the feedback to the customer and walks them through every step that is been taken. He also answers all questions. What is admirable is the ethical and morality that he has. He could have charged more for what he thought he had found going on with my furnace; however he reassessed and saw something else. Saving me and my family a lot; as we have a tight budget. I hope the Company knows and treats him accordingly. Folks like him are scarce nowadays. Thank you again.
Response from Evans Heating & Cooling:
We're so happy to hear that you had a great experience with us. Thanks for leaving a positive review.
Service tech was on time, friendly, explained what he was doing and answered my questions. Was thinking the worst, possible new furnace but he was able to find and fix the issue. Would recommend. Thanks
Work done well, installers were on time, friendly, and completely job efficiently.
Very professional and friendly service. Explained everything in detail.
I highly recommend Evans Heating & Cooling and in particular, Andrew, the technician for all your gas boiler needs. Service was prompt, courteous, friendly and thorough.
Jordan was the technician from Evan’s. Arrived in the time period that I was given. Jordan was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. This call was for a second opinion. He did a routine check of the furnace and then repeated it to confirm what was happening with it. Jordan explained what he was doing and the results. He then explained the alternatives for us. Jordan was able to give us a quote on replacing which was helpful for making a decision. Was very pleased with the service provided by Jordan.
Jordon has come out for my yearly furnace maintained a couple of times now. He is very thorough…and explains what he did to insure the furnace is running as it should. I would highly recommend Jordon, as I would anyone that has come out from Evans Heating and Cooling.
Lennox AC maintenance and inspection. Performed cleaning on unit to clear all debris off condenser coil. Checked all electrical components, all passed inspection. Refrigerant levels are within normal range and system is cooling very well. Found no problems or concerns during maintenance.
Evans Premier 80 Furnace, Evans Supreme 2.5 ton Air Conditioner
Work Performed: Responded to no heat call; found furnace blower running continuously Inspected furnace and found manual flame rollout switch had tripped Reset rollout switch and thoroughly tested furnace operation: Ran furnace through approximately 15 start-up cycles Observed burner flames on both initial ignition and transition from first to second stage Monitored flame behavior during blower operation — no signs of rollout or abnormal combustion Performed combustion analysis — results indicate heat exchanger is operating properly Additional Observations: Noted condensate pump was running excessively Removed and tested condensate tubing — difficult to blow through, possibly indicating a clog Could also be an issue with the condensate pump itself Advised customer that replacing the pump is recommended; customer declined at this time Informed customer that if tubing needs replacement, drywall access may be required to reach and reconnect to ABS drain pipe Results: No definitive cause
Work Performed: Responded to no heat call on older high-efficiency furnace Diagnosed and replaced faulty hot surface igniter Performed full furnace safety check Results: Furnace is now operating normally and safely
Supply and install replacement HVAC unit. Remove and dispose of old unit. Modify duct work on roof to adapt to new unit. Electrical and gas connections included. Crane included.
Work Performed: Completed furnace maintenance, fireplace maintenance, and HRV maintenance. Cleaned fireplace components including glass. HRV maintenance completed—unit is clean and operating well. Controlled by an HRV controller near the thermostat, running independently (not wired to the furnace fan). Furnace Inspection Details: Furnace is a 25-year-old high-efficiency unit with internal rust damage from a previous or possibly active leak. Leak appears to be coming from the collector box and draft inducer motor. Performed safety inspection, including combustion test, heat rise, and limit checks—unit is currently operating within spec, but condition is concerning. Rust and corrosion present inside the cabinet indicate deterioration. Concerns & Recommendations: Existing black plastic venting does not meet current 636 standards. Signs of previous leakage at vent joints also noted. While repairs could include: Replacing the collector box, Replacing the inducer motor, and Updating the 2
Work Performed: Responded to gas leak concern after gas meter was replaced. Gas line red-tagged due to potential leak. Performed preliminary leak detection using bubbles—no visible leak found, but electronic gas sniffer detected presence of gas. Located a union on 1” gas line in a tight space with very limited access for tools. Leak may be located in a finished ceiling area—drywall may need to be cut to complete proper inspection and repair. Next Steps Required: Cap boiler, water heater, and stove lines. Pressurize main gas line to 15 psi to properly locate the source of the leak. Potential drywall removal required to expose concealed sections of piping. Additional Notes: Additional work will most likely be needed to complete repairs at additional costs. Boiler is a natural draft unit and requires annual maintenance and combustion (CO) testing for safety and proper operation.
2 April 2025 Replaced leaking air bleeder on top of navien boiler. Cleaned up light corrosion on nearby parts. No leaks present at this time after completion of work. Boiler is working well.
Work Performed: Performed full maintenance on the furnace, including: ✅ Temperature rise check – Found it on the higher end of normal, adjusted gas pressure accordingly. ✅ Combustion analysis & safety check – No immediate concerns, system is safe. ✅ Checked electrical components & blower motor – Verified proper operation. ✅ Flame sensor cleaned – Ensuring reliable ignition. I took out a piece of insulation that was loose inside the blower cabinet that is no longer needed as it was glued onto the side but it was about to be sucked into the blower motor so I removed that in the system is OK without it. Humidifier pad needed replacement, but the customer chose to leave it off for now as the system was not working and would have required further troubleshooting. System Condition & Recommendations: Furnace is a 16-year-old Goodman unit and is still operating fine. The blower motor is ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor), which is highly sensitive to airflow restrictions caused by dense
Evans Premier Furnace and Air Conditioner Installation
Furnace Maintenance: Added telfon tape to the collector box plug to avoid further condensation damage. Flushed the condensate lines to ensure proper drainage. Inspected pressure switch tubing for optimal functionality. Cleaned and polished the flame sensor to enhance performance. Performed diagnostic testing to verify efficient system operation. System operating well.
Work Performed: Addressed Enbridge red tag due to a gas leak on the main supply line. Enbridge replaced the gas meter and identified a leak near a fitting close to a union. Disassembled the union, tightened the fitting, and confirmed the leak was resolved. Performed a full gas leak test—no leaks present at this time. Noted serious safety concern with the upstairs gas stove, which has standing pilots and no safety shutoff if the pilot goes out. Gas was continuously leaking from the stove—advised replacement. Spoke with Dan and received approval to turn off gas supply to the stove for safety. Advised that the stove must be replaced and offered to install a new one if provided by the customer. A new gas hose will also be required. Turned on the water heater and furnace—both are operating properly. Results: House is leak-free, and all appliances are operational except for the gas stove, which has been shut off for safety. Red tag will be cleared by the office.
Lennox Furnace maintenance and inspection. Performed full maintenance on furnace Found heavier corrosion than normal on burners, got information required to run warranty on replacement burners. Other than that, furnace is in good shape at this time. It is working well and running efficiently. Found no other problems or concerns during visit.
Navien tankless water heater maintenance and inspection. Performed flush on the tankless with descaler solution. Inspected and cleaned internal water filter, air filter and condensation trap. Found moderate buildup of dust etc. on air filter, Large amount of calcium buildup on water filter, about half plugged, would have put a lot of strain on the system if it can only allow half the proper flow of water through itself. Highly recommend getting tankless serviced more frequently, it is recommended to do it at least every two years to avoid overworking or damaging the system. After completion of maintenance tankless is working well, no concerns at this time.
